Halifax clarity credit card
Halifax has brought out a new credit card by the name of the Halifax clarity credit card which is aimed as the no nonsense markets and is said to cut the cost of travel for UK holidaymakers. It is a simple credit card with no usage fees, no foreign exchange fees and no additional charges when withdrawing cash overseas. The basic interest rate is just 12.9% against the market average of 18.4%, so what are the drawbacks of this new credit card?
The only drawback when applying for a Halifax clarity credit card comes if you have a less than perfect credit history whereby which the interest charge will increase from anywhere between 17.9% to 21.9%. While even these figures are very competitive against the general market it is a big difference from the 12.9% headline rate which is being advertised. However, if you do have a near-perfect credit rating then the Halifax clarity credit card may well be something which you might need to consider.
It looks as though we are on the verge of a number of no nonsense credit cards coming to the UK market, cards which are easy to understand, relatively low-cost and come with added benefits such as reduced charges when using overseas.
